Pine silk chanderi with a slight sheen when it moves — matte when still. Pine reads green under sun, deep bottle-green under warm bulb. The single ambi has weight — you feel it against the ribs.

Silhouette: Pine-green silk straight kurta with three-quarter-sleeved kurta, slim salwar and matching dupatta
Wear it with polki-emerald jhumkis, a thin gold necklace, matte gold bangles. Juttis in pine or antique gold. Because the ambi is on one side only, wear the dupatta on the opposite shoulder to balance.
"Pine green is the Punjabi diaspora colour — it photographs beautifully against wood, against marigold, against gurdwara marble. The ambi is our oldest motif, worn one at a time so it means something."
Ambi is a traditional Punjabi salwar kurta — a straight-cut long kurti with a soft gathered salwar (Punjabi trousers, wide at top, narrow at ankle) and a dupatta.
A single hand-embroidered ambi (paisley) motif on the yoke of the kurti — nothing more. The whole suit is a study in restraint.
Ambi is not bridal — she is for the Roka, morning family gatherings, or a modern woman's quiet luxury day-suit. For wedding-week suits see our Wedding Week page.
Price on request. Ambi is among our lighter suits — priced accordingly, and made to your measurements.
Yes — Ambi's restraint and colour depth flatter every body and every age. Many of our older commissions are Ambi in different pale silks.
Every Ambi is made to measure. On the first WhatsApp call we walk you through the twelve measurements we take — kurta, sleeve, chest, waist, hip, bottom length, and bottom seat, plus dupatta preference. We fit bust 32"–46" and heights 5'0"–5'10" comfortably; for sizes outside this range, we welcome the conversation.
Ji, Ambi is shipped duties-paid to Canada, USA, UK, UAE, Australia, and across India. Bridal density adds insured shipping, tracked door-to-door, with signature on delivery.
5 weeks from confirmed measurements for the standard commission. 8 weeks if worked in a bridal density (adds a second ambi at the back, and one on the dupatta)
Every Ambi is cut, dyed, and hand-worked for one woman only. We speak on WhatsApp, take your measurements over a private video call, and ship duties-paid to Canada, USA, UK, UAE, Australia, or across India.
