Nili Raat

Made to order · stitched for you

ਨੀਲੀ ਰਾਤ
'Blue night' — the hour after the mehndi lamps have dimmed, when the star field settles.
An ink silk anarkali carrying a whole night sky of hand mukaish.
Price on request · Duties-paid to Canada, USA, UK, UAE, Australia, India

The Feel
Before you see it, you feel it.

Weighted enough to swing, soft enough to gather at the waist without a fold-line. The mukaish sits inside the silk, not on top — you feel a whisper of metal only when your hand runs against the star field.

The Karigari
What the hand does.
  • Mukaish — flattened silver-antique wire, pressed into the silk stitch by stitch. A full star-field across the whole kurta, from yoke to hem, like the whole sky.
  • Neckline finished with a single line of moti (freshwater pearl) hand-strung on silk thread.
  • Duptta in the same ink silk, edged in mukaish along one border only — the other side is left quiet.
Care
How she stays herself.
  • Store in mulmul cover, never plastic.
  • Rest the mukaish flat between wears — never fold across the star field.
  • Dry clean by hand only, no starch, no steam directly on the mukaish.
Made to measure
Every Nili Raat is cut for one woman.
On the first WhatsApp call, a client advisor will guide you through the twelve measurements — kurta, sleeve, chest, waist, hip, bottom length, and bottom seat, plus dupatta preference. We fit bust 32″–46″ and heights 5'0″–5'10″ comfortably; for sizes outside this range, we welcome the conversation. Lead time: 4–6 weeks from confirmed measurements. 10–14 weeks if worked as a bridal commission with fuller mukaish

Wear it with

Wear it with kundan jhumkis, no necklace. Antique gold kaleerey if you're the bride's sister. A single gajra on a low bun. Skip the heavy dupatta pinning — Nili Raat wants movement.

Why this one

"A wedding-night anarkali for the sangeet or reception hour, not the ceremony itself. It photographs deep and slow."

Common Questions

About this suit

What silhouette is Nili Raat?

Nili Raat is a slim floor-length anarkali — a one-piece frock silhouette with fitted bodice and softly flared skirt, paired with churidar and a dupatta. It is not a lehenga or a gharara.

Is this a bridal anarkali?

Yes — Nili Raat is cut for the ceremony hour. She is quieter than a bridal lehenga, easier to sit in through the four Laavan, and photographs beautifully under evening light. She is also worn for Sangeet, Cocktail, and Reception.

What is the embroidery on Nili Raat?

Hand mukaish — small metal knots stitched by hand across the yoke, bodice, and hem to create a night-sky effect. The mukaish alone takes 120 to 180 hours per suit.

What is the price of Nili Raat?

Price on request. Every Nili Raat is made to your measurements — the fabric weight, mukaish density, and lining are chosen with you on WhatsApp before we begin.

How long does Nili Raat take to make?

Ten to twelve weeks from the day the mukaish begins. We reserve the atelier for one bride at a time.

How is Nili Raat sized?

Every Nili Raat is made to measure. On the first WhatsApp call we walk you through the twelve measurements we take — kurta, sleeve, chest, waist, hip, bottom length, and bottom seat, plus dupatta preference. We fit bust 32"–46" and heights 5'0"–5'10" comfortably; for sizes outside this range, we welcome the conversation.

Can Nili Raat be shipped internationally?

Ji, Nili Raat is shipped duties-paid to Canada, USA, UK, UAE, Australia, and across India. Bridal density adds insured shipping, tracked door-to-door, with signature on delivery.

What is the timeline for Nili Raat?

4–6 weeks from confirmed measurements for the standard commission. 10–14 weeks if worked as a bridal commission with fuller mukaish
